Nigerian content creator and philanthropist Mitchell Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has issued a public apology to Seyi Tinubu and social media activist Martins Vincent Otse following weeks of controversy surrounding her online activities.
In a video shared on her social media page, King Mitchy admitted that her recent behaviour during a livestream was inappropriate and acknowledged that she had disappointed many Nigerians, especially young people who look up to her as a public figure.
During the broadcast, the influencer had consumed a substance believed to be bleach, sparking widespread concern among viewers and drawing heavy criticism across social media platforms. The incident intensified the public backlash already surrounding her dispute with VeryDarkMan.
While addressing the controversy, King Mitchy apologised directly to Seyi Tinubu, explaining that although she had previously apologised to him privately, she felt it was necessary to also do so publicly because the situation had unfolded in the public space. She expressed gratitude for his support and said she never intended to tarnish his image.
She also extended an apology to VeryDarkMan, acknowledging his activism and advocacy for Nigerians. According to her, after reflecting on the situation, she now understands the cause he is fighting for and believes he deserves support rather than criticism.
In addition, the influencer apologised to Adeyeye Ogunwusi for mentioning his name during the heated online exchanges that followed the controversy. She admitted that bringing the monarch into the dispute was inappropriate.
The drama began earlier in 2026 after Mitchy announced that she had renovated a dilapidated school within six days, a claim that sparked debate online and led to a public clash with VeryDarkMan, who accused her of being used to promote the image of the current administration.
The controversy escalated further when rumours circulated about her alleged death following the livestream incident, but the claim was later withdrawn by her management, confirming that she was alive and recovering.
Her public apology appears to be an attempt to calm tensions and move past the online feud that has dominated Nigerian social media discussions in recent weeks.
