Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has stirred fresh controversy after claiming that actress Iyabo Ojo once trusted him with the care of her children.

Speaking in a recent interview, the actor said he felt deeply hurt by Iyabo Ojo’s stance against him during his 2021 legal case, especially because of their past relationship. He recalled that there was a time she allegedly left her children, Festus and Priscilla, in his custody when they were younger.

According to him, the incident happened at her shop in Ilupeju, Lagos, where she briefly stepped out and asked him to watch over the children. He said this memory made him question why their relationship had deteriorated so drastically.

However, Iyabo Ojo has strongly denied his claims. In a public response, she warned him to stop involving her children in his narrative, insisting they were never left unattended and were always under proper supervision.

She also emphasised that she has no issue with him telling his own story, but made it clear that mentioning her children is unacceptable and could lead to legal action.

The exchange has reignited public debate, especially given the history between both actors, with many Nigerians reacting to the conflicting accounts and the sensitive nature of the issue.

At the center of it all is not just a personal dispute but a clash of narratives, past trust, and present accountability.
