Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has opened up about his journey to success, insisting that football was not his only path to making it in life.

The Nigerian forward, who currently plays for Galatasaray, made the statement while reflecting on his difficult upbringing and rise to global fame. He explained that his mindset and determination would have led him to success, even if football had not worked out.

Osimhen, who grew up in poverty in Lagos, revealed that he always believed in changing his story, regardless of the path he chose. His life before football involved hustling on the streets to support his family—an experience that shaped his resilience and work ethic.

According to him, football simply became the platform that brought his dreams to reality, but the drive to succeed was already there. His journey from selling items on the streets to becoming one of the world’s top strikers is often cited as one of the most inspiring stories in modern football.

Today, Osimhen is widely regarded as one of the best forwards globally, having achieved major milestones in Europe and with the Nigerian national team.

His statement has since resonated with many fans, especially young Nigerians, as a reminder that success is not tied to one path but to mindset, discipline, and consistency.
