Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged residents of the state to vote for him and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, describing himself as a street-smart leader capable of driving further development.

Oborevwori made the appeal on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, during a reception held in his honour in Isoko, Delta State.

The governor said his familiarity with the state and its people gave him a strong understanding of their needs, stressing that Delta remained his only home.

“If you talk about street credibility, street wisdom, street-smart, it’s only somebody that is street-smart that can do this for you because I live with you here. I don’t have a second home; the only home that I have is Delta State. I stay here more,” he said.

He added that his administration had more work to do and urged residents to continue demanding improvements while acknowledging the progress recorded during his time in office.

Oborevwori said his government would consolidate its achievements over the last three years and continue working towards delivering more development to the state.

“The largest room in the world is the room for improvement, and with your continuous support and encouragement, we shall continue to do more while consolidating the achievements of the last three years of our administration,” he stated.

The governor subsequently called on Deltans to translate their support into votes for Tinubu, himself and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 elections.

“Turn this adjustment into a massive vote for President Tinubu, myself, and all APC candidates in Delta State. Continue to trust us and pray for us,” he urged.

His appeal comes amid political activities and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political leaders across the country seeking support for their parties and candidates.
