The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has disowned a viral recruitment notice circulating on social media, directing applicants who were not shortlisted or did not receive invitation messages to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification.
The Corps, in a statement issued on Sunday, September 20, 2026, described the notice as fake and unauthorised, urging members of the public to disregard it.
According to the FRSC, the fraudulent notice directed affected applicants to report to the nearest FRSC camp for verification on or before September 25.
The agency clarified that it had not issued any directive asking applicants to report to its offices, camps or training institutions on the basis of the circulating message.
The Corps advised applicants participating in the 2026 recruitment exercise to rely only on official FRSC communication channels for information regarding the process.
It also warned applicants against making payments, sharing personal information or clicking on links circulated by unauthorised individuals claiming to facilitate recruitment.
The FRSC said anyone found using the recruitment exercise to deceive or defraud members of the public would be reported to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities.
The agency’s official recruitment portal currently states that applications are closed and that existing applicants will be contacted for further steps.
