Nigerian actor and content creator Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed gratitude to music executive Don Jazzy, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and others who supported him during what he described as one of the hardest periods of his life.
Mr Macaroni made this known in an emotional post on X on Saturday, saying he was moved to tears after reading messages from people who recalled various ways he had helped them, many of which he said he no longer remembered.
He said the messages made him realise that he had been focusing too much on what he had lost rather than appreciating God for helping him through his difficulties.
The actor explained that he was accustomed to giving to others and rarely asked for assistance because people often assumed he had enough resources.
“I am used to always giving and hardly ever receiving because everyone thought I had in abundance. I have also always found it difficult to ask for help,” he said.
Mr Macaroni disclosed that an unnamed individual repeatedly helped him settle his debts during the difficult period, describing the intervention as something he believed was made possible by God.
“God used one person to settle all that I owed! And this help came over and over again!” he wrote.
He also thanked his close friends and supporters, whom he referred to as “Mr Macaroni & Friends,” for remaining by his side when he was struggling.
The comedian singled out Don Jazzy for particular appreciation, revealing that the music executive had supported him since his university days.
“To Don Jazzy, who has been giving me since my university days up till now, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do, not just for me but for so many others,” he said.
