Nigerian streamer and TikTok personality Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has expressed frustration over his parents’ conduct at his recent wedding to fellow content creator Jarvis.
Peller, who held his white wedding over the weekend, said he had specifically asked members of his family to keep the guest list small. However, according to the content creator, his parents disregarded his request and attended the ceremony with their respective partners.
Speaking during a livestream, Peller complained that he had repeatedly instructed his family to invite only a limited number of guests because he wanted the wedding to remain intimate. He said their decision to bring additional guests, including their partners, contributed to the situation that frustrated him during the ceremony.
The streamer also spoke about the dynamics of his family, revealing that his parents are separated and have their own partners. He appeared particularly uncomfortable with their personal lives becoming a subject of public discussion during what was supposed to be one of the most important occasions of his life.
Peller’s comments come shortly after his marriage to Jarvis, with the couple’s wedding attracting significant attention online. The pair had previously completed their traditional marriage rites before their white wedding.
Despite his frustration, Peller’s parents were present at the ceremony, where they were seen among the guests as their son and Jarvis exchanged their vows.
The incident has since generated reactions on social media, with some Nigerians sympathising with Peller over his concerns about the wedding while others urged him to respect his parents’ personal choices and focus on his new family life.
