Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford as a potential replacement for Gabriel Martinelli.
According to reports from the UK Telegraph, Arsenal are assessing their options on the left wing following Martinelli’s departure, with Rashford emerging as a possible short-term solution.
Rashford, 28, returned to Manchester United after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Barcelona. Barcelona decided against making the move permanent, leaving the England international back at Old Trafford as the summer transfer window approaches its deadline.
The forward has reportedly attracted interest from several clubs, but Arsenal’s emergence as a potential destination has come as a surprise given the rivalry between the two Premier League sides.
Reports suggest Arsenal could explore a loan deal for Rashford rather than an immediate permanent transfer. Some industry insiders have identified him as a possible option should the Gunners need to replace Martinelli quickly.
Rashford would offer Arsenal experience, pace and the ability to operate from the left side of the attack. His versatility could also allow manager Mikel Arteta to use him in different attacking roles.
