Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has expressed sadness over the death of the Onijabe of Ijabe, Oba Adeyemi Adewumi, praising the late traditional ruler for his contributions to peace, unity and development in the community.
Adeleke described the monarch’s death as a significant loss to Ijabe, Osun State and the traditional institution, noting that Oba Adewumi dedicated his reign to the progress and wellbeing of his people.
In a condolence message, the governor said the late Onijabe would be remembered for promoting peaceful coexistence and supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
Adeleke also commiserated with the monarch’s family, the people of Ijabe and the traditional council, praying for strength for them during the period of mourning.
The governor urged the people of the community to preserve the values of peace, unity and development associated with the late monarch’s reign.
