A 36-year-old man, Charles Ekuma Eze, has been stabbed to death in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State, with police confirming that the incident stemmed from a dispute that turned violent.
According to the Cross River State Police Command, the victim was allegedly attacked with a knife during an altercation. He sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Police spokesperson ASP Ugbo Irene said investigations have commenced and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect, who reportedly fled the scene after the stabbing. The command appealed to members of the public with useful information to assist law enforcement.
The police also urged residents to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid resorting to violence, assuring that those responsible for the killing would be brought to justice
