The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 10 additional businesses across the state over persistent violations of environmental regulations, despite repeated warnings and enforcement notices. The exercise forms part of the Lagos State Government’s ongoing campaign to improve environmental compliance and protect public health.

According to LASEPA, the affected establishments were found guilty of offences including noise pollution, air pollution, unlawful discharge of untreated effluent, and obstruction of enforcement officers. The agency said the businesses had been given several opportunities to comply before enforcement action was taken.

The enforcement operation was carried out on the directive of the Lagos State Government as part of efforts to ensure strict adherence to environmental laws. LASEPA stressed that the closures would remain in force until the affected businesses fully comply with regulatory requirements.

The agency reiterated that it would continue to intensify inspections and enforcement across Lagos, warning that any establishment found violating environmental standards would face similar sanctions
