President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ambassador Ahmed Sule as Nigeria’s new Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland. The appointment was announced by the Presidency as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement in multilateral institutions.
According to official statements, Ambassador Sule is a career diplomat with extensive experience in foreign service and international relations. He is expected to represent Nigeria’s interests at the UN office in Geneva and other international organizations based there.
The appointment is one of several diplomatic postings made by the Tinubu administration as it seeks to fill key foreign service positions and enhance Nigeria’s representation abroad.
Geneva hosts numerous international bodies, including agencies involved in human rights, trade, health, and humanitarian affairs, making the position one of Nigeria’s significant diplomatic assignments
