Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has revealed that he spends about N60,000 daily on cannabis, saying the habit became a major financial commitment before he recently decided to quit smoking.
The “Oleku” crooner made the revelation during an appearance on the Nevon podcast hosted by media personality Rufai Oseni, where he spoke about his lifestyle, addiction struggles, and health transformation.
According to Ice Prince, his daily spending often increased whenever he had friends, producers, writers, or artists around him because he usually paid for everyone’s weed himself.
“I smoke N60,000 bag of weed every day,” the rapper reportedly said while explaining the scale of his smoking habit before he stopped.
The rapper also disclosed that between 2020 and 2026, he spent approximately N340 million on weed from just one dealer in Lagos, excluding purchases made from suppliers in Abuja, Jos, Ghana, and London.
Ice Prince said he has now stopped smoking weed and cigarettes as part of a broader health and spiritual journey focused on fitness, discipline, and personal growth.
He credited music producer Chopstix for motivating him to begin exercising and adopt healthier habits, explaining that the producer regularly visited him to take evening walks until the routine became part of his lifestyle.
The revelation has sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users debating celebrity lifestyles, substance use, and the financial cost of addiction.
