Alex Iwobi will miss Fulham vs Arsenal after sustaining an injury, dealing a blow to Fulham FC ahead of the crucial encounter.

Fulham manager Marco Silva confirmed that the Nigerian midfielder is still sidelined and has not recovered in time for the match.

Iwobi picked up a hamstring (muscle) injury during Fulham’s recent goalless draw against Brentford FC, and has remained out of action since then.

The 29-year-old was expected to feature against his former club Arsenal FC, but has failed to regain full fitness, ruling him out of what would have been an emotional return.

Silva noted that the midfielder is “still out,” adding that the club is monitoring the fitness of other players ahead of the game.

Iwobi’s absence is a setback for Fulham, as he remains one of their key attacking options this season, while Arsenal receive a boost ahead of the Premier League clash.
