Fashion brands Sisi Sewing and Ao Afriq have collaborated to present a new collection titled “Heritage,” a striking showcase of African-inspired fashion that debuted on the international runway during the Autumn/Winter 2026 edition of Creative Fashion Week London AW26 in London.

The collection first appeared on February 22, 2026, drawing attention from designers, fashion enthusiasts and industry stakeholders who gathered to witness a creative blend of African cultural aesthetics and contemporary global fashion trends.

On the runway, the “Heritage” collection featured bold prints, layered textures and structured silhouettes that celebrated African identity while maintaining a modern appeal. Many of the pieces showcased vibrant patterned fabrics, flowing gowns, tailored outfits and statement designs that balanced elegance with cultural storytelling.

Several designs incorporated rich colour palettes and artistic patterns that reflected traditional African textile influences. The garments ranged from dramatic gowns with flowing structures to structured outfits designed with intricate tailoring and expressive styling. The combination of vibrant fabrics, sculpted shapes and elegant finishing gave the collection a strong runway presence.

Following its successful London debut, the collection was also showcased at Creative Fashion Week Paris AW26 on March 7, 2026, in Paris, expanding its reach to a broader European audience.

Designers behind the collaboration explained that the “Heritage” concept was inspired by the desire to celebrate cultural identity through fashion while presenting African aesthetics on the global stage. The collection blends craftsmanship, storytelling and contemporary fashion design to create pieces that honour tradition while appealing to modern fashion audiences.

Industry observers note that collaborations such as this highlight the growing global influence of African fashion, particularly in major fashion capitals like London and Paris, where designers increasingly showcase culturally rooted collections with international appeal.

The “Heritage” collection ultimately stands as a celebration of culture, creativity and craftsmanship, demonstrating how African-inspired fashion continues to shape conversations on the global runway.
