A newly elected member of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has died just hours before he was to be inaugurated into the party’s State Executive Council, the party has confirmed.

The deceased, Hon. Karamo Yesiro, was elected Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Lagos APC during the party’s congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Stadium, Onikan, Lagos earlier this week. His death came shortly before the inauguration of newly elected executive members, which was scheduled to take place at the Lagos APC Secretariat.

In a statement, the Lagos State APC expressed profound shock and sorrow over Yesiro’s passing, describing it as a tragic loss for the party at a time when his energy and commitment were most needed. The party highlighted his contributions to APC’s growth and stability in the state and said his enthusiasm and dedication left a lasting impression on colleagues and members.

Officials extended heartfelt condolences to his family, political associates and supporters, affirming that the party stands united in mourning his sudden departure.

Yesiro’s death adds to a recent pattern of leaders from the state’s political and civic landscape dying shortly after assuming or being elected to office, raising fresh questions about sudden losses within leadership circles though authorities have not linked his death to any external cause beyond the reported sudden passing.
