Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has claimed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s market value has doubled to about €150 million since his transfer from Napoli to the Turkish club, reflecting his strong performances and attracting interest from top European teams.

Kavukcu made the remark in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, saying that when Galatasaray paid €75 million — his release clause — for Osimhen last summer, many questioned the investment, but the striker has justified that outlay and more.

The club chief pointed to Osimhen’s goal-scoring form this season, with the Nigerian forward registering 15 goals and five assists in 23 appearances, helping boost his standing among Europe’s elite centre-forwards.

Interest in Osimhen remains high, with major clubs such as Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich reportedly eyeing the prolific striker. Should those suitors pursue a transfer, his valuation could become a key negotiating point for any move.

Osimhen completed his permanent move to Galatasaray from Napoli in July 2025 for €75 million, making him one of the Turkish club’s most expensive signings ever.
