President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Adamawa State on Monday, February 16, 2026, in what the Presidency describes as a “working visit” focused on the inauguration of federal projects and consultations with stakeholders in the state.

According to a statement from the Presidential Villa, the President will commission completed federal intervention projects, interact with local leaders, and hold security and development meetings aimed at strengthening collaboration between the federal government and the Adamawa State administration.

Among the projects to be commissioned are infrastructure initiatives in road rehabilitation, healthcare facilities, water and sanitation schemes, and programmes designed to support youth empowerment and agricultural productivity in the state.

The visit is also expected to include discussions on security operations, particularly as Adamawa remains among states in the Northeast working to maintain gains against insurgency and promote stability for communities affected by years of conflict.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other state officials are set to welcome the President with traditional hospitality, and key stakeholders from across the state’s political, economic and social sectors are expected to attend.

Presidential aides say Tinubu’s tour of Adamawa reflects the federal government’s commitment to inclusive development and direct engagement with subnational governments as part of efforts to accelerate infrastructure delivery and economic growth across Nigeria.

The President is expected to return to Abuja later the same day after completing the scheduled engagements in Adamawa State.
