Nollywood actress Ajara Lasisi, popularly known as Aunty Ajara, has passed away after battling a prolonged illness, her family and colleagues have confirmed. She was 31 years old.
The news of her death was announced on Thursday, February 5, 2026, by her elder brother, Ridwan Lasisi, and Nollywood director Tobi Oladele (Tee Mony). Ridwan revealed that she passed away in the early hours of the day and expressed gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their prayers and support during her illness. He also appealed to the public to stop sending financial assistance, as she had passed on.
Aunty Ajara had reportedly been battling a serious liver-related condition, which worsened in recent weeks despite medical attention. Her health struggles had drawn public attention, with fellow entertainers such as Ronke Oshodi-Oke and others rallying to support her treatment.
She was celebrated for her vibrant roles in Yoruba movies and skits, earning recognition for her comic timing, memorable characters, and warm screen presence.
