The mother of a gospel artiste who died alongside three members of his crew in a Lagos recording studio has called on authorities to ensure justice, saying the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain troubling.
The victims were found lifeless inside a studio located in the Abraham Adesanya area of Ajah, Lagos, after they reportedly stayed overnight following a music-related engagement. The deceased include the gospel singer and three others connected to the production.
In an emotional appeal, the artiste’s mother said her son left home for a programme but failed to return or respond to repeated phone calls. She explained that the family later discovered the bodies and has since been demanding answers on what transpired before their deaths.
The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further investigation. Police said an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, noting that no visible injuries were found on the bodies.
The incident has sparked public concern, with calls for a thorough investigation and accountability as family members and colleagues await official findings.
