The Managing Director of the Katsina State Water Board, Engr. Tukur Hassan Tingilin, has died in a motor accident, prompting condolences from Katsina State Governor Mallam Dikko Radda and other officials.
Tingilin was involved in an auto crash on Thursday while returning to Katsina after a visit to his hometown in Malumfashi Local Government Area, according to the governor’s office. The accident led to his sudden death, with the governor describing the loss as “devastating” for the state, particularly at a time when efforts to improve water supply were intensifying.
In a condolence message released on Friday, Governor Radda praised Tingilin’s dedication, professionalism and commitment to public service, saying his leadership at the Water Board was marked by efforts to expand access to clean water for communities across Katsina State. The governor prayed for strength for the family and residents of Malumfashi to bear the loss.
Radda also took solace in the fact that Tingilin died during the holy month of Ramadan and extended heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the government and people of the state.
