AC Milan are optimistic that English Premier League side Fulham will exercise their €24 million purchase option for Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze, following an impressive loan spell in London.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles forward joined Fulham on loan from Milan at the start of the 2025/26 season, with a clause allowing the Premier League club to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign. Sources close to Milan say the club is confident that Fulham will trigger the clause, particularly if Chukwueze maintains his consistent performances and growing influence on the pitch.
Since his arrival, Chukwueze has made 18 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing four assists. His pace, dribbling, and ability to create chances have made him a key player for Fulham, helping the club secure crucial points in their push to remain in the Premier League.
Milan see the potential €24 million fee as a significant boost to their transfer budget, which could be reinvested in strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026/27 Serie A season. Fulham, meanwhile, are reportedly keen to retain the winger permanently, valuing his impact on the team’s attacking dynamics and his growing fan appeal.
Chukwueze, who has been a regular for the Nigerian national team, adds international experience to Fulham’s roster, further increasing his appeal for a permanent transfer. If completed, the deal would mark one of Milan’s notable successful outgoing transfers in recent years, highlighting their ability to monetize talent while maintaining competitive performance levels.
