Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has said Burna Boy currently leads Davido and Wizkid in terms of impact both in Nigeria and on the global music scene.
Speaking on the Mic On Podcast, 2Baba acknowledged that all three artists are exceptional and have contributed significantly to the growth of Afrobeats. However, when asked who is on top at the moment, he said Burna Boy’s global presence, consistency and international influence give him the edge.
According to 2Baba, his assessment was based on an understanding of the global music landscape, not on personal preference, wealth or popularity alone. He added that comparing artists can be subjective, as each has a unique style and strength.
