The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 28 vessels carrying petroleum products and other cargo are expected to arrive at Lagos ports in the coming days.

According to the NPA’s shipping position, the vessels are scheduled to berth at the Apapa Port, Tin-Can Island Port and Lekki Deep Sea Port. The shipment includes petrol, diesel, crude oil, blended stock, bulk gas, as well as other imports such as wheat, gypsum and general containerised goods.

The NPA said several of the vessels are container ships, while others are tankers and bulk carriers, reflecting sustained maritime activity at Nigeria’s busiest ports. The expected arrivals are aimed at ensuring the steady supply of fuel and essential commodities across the country.

Port operations officials noted that arrangements have been made to facilitate smooth berthing and discharge of the vessels to avoid congestion and support economic activities linked to importation and distribution.
