Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has refuted a viral social media post suggesting that he distanced himself from his babymama, Davita Lamai. The post, which circulated widely online, was described by Zlatan as false and not issued by him.
On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Zlatan addressed the rumours on his official social media accounts, urging fans and the public to verify information before believing or sharing it. He clarified that he had no connection to the claims made in the viral post.
The post implied that Zlatan and Davita were no longer in a relationship, prompting reactions from fans and social media users. Zlatan emphasised that the statement was not from him and urged people to be cautious about spreading unverified content.
Zlatan also confirmed that while Davita is not his wife, she is the mother of his children, and they maintain a private relationship. He reiterated that being a parent to someone’s children does not equate to marital status, highlighting the distinction between personal relationships and legal marriage.
Following Zlatan’s clarification, many fans criticised the spread of fake news and encouraged social media users to fact-check before sharing celebrity stories.
