Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, billionaire businessman and father of Afrobeats star Davido, has issued a press statement addressing renewed paternity allegations involving his son.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lagos, Dr. Adeleke firmly denied claims that Davido fathered a young girl identified as Anuoluwapo Adeleke. He disclosed that multiple DNA tests conducted over time all returned results showing zero probability that Davido is the child’s biological father.
According to him, the family agreed to the DNA tests in the interest of transparency and to permanently put an end to the controversy surrounding the claim. He stressed that the tests were carried out through credible medical channels and that the outcomes were consistent.
Dr. Adeleke also accused controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo of allegedly impersonating the minor and her relatives on social media, claiming she played a role in spreading misinformation and false narratives about the case.
Despite the negative DNA results, the elder Adeleke revealed that he had, on humanitarian grounds, provided financial support for the child’s education and welfare, noting that Davido himself was not aware of this assistance at the time.
He added that the family would have fully embraced the child if the DNA results had established a biological connection, emphasizing that scientific evidence remains the only reliable basis for determining paternity.
