NDLEA CHAIRMAN SEEKS TO COLLABORATE WITH PMAN TO FURTHER COMBAT THE MENACE OF DRUGS IN NIGERIA.

 

In a groundbreaking move  aimed at tackling drug abuse within and outside  Nigeria's vibrant music industry, the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Brigadier General Buba Marwa  stormed The PMAN HQ in Lagos to get seek support, collaboration and join forces with (PMAN) to fight the war against drugs. The move marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to promote a culture of health, safety, and responsibility among musicians and their fans nationwide.

During the visit event, where the NDLEA Chairman was also taken around the PMAN headquarters - Nigeria Music House and shown the PMAN radio and other parts of the facility , attendees witnessed an inspiring display of unity and commitment as the NDLEA Chairman and PMAN President in their individual presentations outlined their shared vision for collaboration with one of it being the support of PMAN's corporate social responsibility initiative - Music Against Drugs ( MAD). 

They emphasized the importance of collaborative action in addressing the pervasive issue of drug abuse within the music industry and beyond pledgeding to work together closely to implement effective strategies for prevention, education, and intervention.

The visit and partnership between NDLEA and PMAN underscores the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration in addressing complex social challenges such as drug abuse. By combining their expertise and resources, the two organizations are poised to make a significant impact on the lives of musicians,  their communities and nation at large.

PMAN's MAD initiative which adopts a holistic approach to combating drug abuse, incorporating elements such as awareness campaigns, educational workshops, community outreach programs, and digital media campaigns. This comprehensive strategy aims to raise awareness about the risks of drug abuse, provide support services for those affected, and promote healthy lifestyle choices within and outside the music industry.

Both the NDLEA Chairman and PMAN President reiterated their unwavering commitment to taking concrete actions to address drug abuse within the music industry. They called on all stakeholders, including musicians, industry professionals, government agencies, civil society organizations, and the general public, to join hands in the fight against drug abuse and contribute to creating a safer and healthier environment for all.

The NDLEA chairman's visit represents a significant added effort  in the collective efforts to address drug abuse within Nigeria. With strong leadership, strategic collaboration, and widespread support, NDLEA and PMAN are paving the way for a brighter, drug-free future for musicians, fans, and communities across the country.
